New Member Welcome and Orientation June 26, 2014
Kiwanis members — old and new – enjoyed a Barbecue dinner at Dan and Jill’s house. Weather was great, food was fantastic and fellowship was terrific.
And we celebrated Karl’s 75th Birthday!
Pocket Park Clean Up June 28, 2014
Cleanup day at the Kiwanis Pocket Park at Klindt’s Cove that took place Saturday, June 28. Projects accomplished were weeding along the Riverfront Trail, water sealing the picnic tables, edging around the tables, and general cleanup around the popular stopping-off place, parking and restroom area along the trail.
July 4th 2014 Parade
We helped organize the line up and entered our float
July 4, 2014 was the first July 4th Celebration held in The Dalles in over 20 years. The Dalles Kiwanis was asked to assist with lining up the parade. It was estimated that attendance at the parade was close to the attendance for the Cherry Festival parade.
